Advancing cancer research: WBA & EORTC’s ongoing collaboration

WBA EORTC E2Radiate

The E2-RADIatE platform is transforming radiation oncology in Europe by driving innovation through real-world data collection. EORTC, in partnership with Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA), is working to establish new standards of care for patients requiring radiotherapy. With 1 in 2 cancer patients needing radiotherapy during treatment, this collaboration is essential to improving outcomes.

To raise awareness and bridge the gap in understanding around radiotherapy, EORTC and WBA launched a series of conversations featuring Professor Piet Ost and Una Kent. These discussions explore what E2-RADIatE is, what it aims to achieve, and how it benefits cancer patients. The first stimulating discussion in the series was held in 2024 and you can find out more in the video below.

In February 2025, patient advocate Dave Chuter joined the discussion to share his perspective on the importance of clinical research. He highlighted key patient priorities and how patients’ voices help remove clinical research barriers to improve cancer care for all patients.
